When Sean Lee-Ying was a high school student growing up in Toronto, his love of science helped him land a job as a Host at the Ontario Science Centre.

After high school, Sean went on to study Material Science and Engineering at the University of Toronto—but his career path never wavered. Sean continued to work as a Host, and then as a Senior Host at the OSC for eight years, relishing the opportunities it gave him to explore and facilitate daily adventures in science.

In July 2009, Sean became KidSpark Coordinator, a post he continues to enjoy today. His responsibilities include overseeing the Hosts as they deliver KidSpark workshops, and ensuring the safety and satisfaction of his visitors as they explore and experience all the mind-bending exhibits the Centre has to offer.

“Planning programs for children to inspire and spark curiosity about the world around them” is what Sean cites as the best part of the job. What could be better than that?
