With something to see and do for everybody, Cedar Point is a wonderful place for a family outing.
Director of Public Relations, Robin Innes, explains that the amusement park has four special areas dedicated for young families. “We’ve got Planet Snoopy, we’ve got Camp Snoopy, we’ve got the Gemini Children’s Area and then we also have Kiddy Kingdom, so there’s a lot of different ride areas for them.”
In addition to the rides, there are a number of different live shows and special attractions to enjoy, providing a full day of non-stop entertainment for the whole family.
Kiddy Kingdom: One of the oldest children’s areas at Cedar Point is Kiddy Kingdom. This section, dedicated exclusively to families with young children has more than a dozen children’s rides as well as the Kiddy Kingdom Carousel and mini water ride Sir Rub-A-Dub’s Tubs, both of which can be enjoyed by all ages.
Roller coasters: Cedar Point has more roller coasters than any other park in the whole world – 17 to be exact. And though the park is most well known for some of the tallest and fastest roller coasters, Cedar Point also has coasters more appropriate for the younger guests. At the Gemini Children’s Area first-time roller coaster riders will be thrilled with the Jr. Gemini. Standing 20 feet tall, the coaster goes about 10 miles an hour. Over at Camp Snoopy, the Woodstock Express takes riders to the next level, going a little higher and travelling a bit faster.
Snoopy: Fans of the Peanuts comic strip won’t be disappointed at Camp Snoopy or Planet Snoopy, where all of the famous characters have been making daily appearances since 1999. Snoopy also does a couple of different shows: the Snoopy Sing-A-Long as well as Happy Birthday Snoopy, commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Peanuts comic strip. A brand new ice skating show has also been added to Snoopy’s repertoire. Featuring Snoopy himself and the entire Peanuts gang, Everyone Loves Snoopy shows off some excellent ice skating, lively music and colourful costumes.
With all this and more, Cedar Point has enough fun for the whole family.
